Transfer Students

We use our own application for transfer applicants, and there is no application fee.

We strongly prefer a letter of recommendation from a faculty member at your most recently attended college or university. If you haven’t taken any classes recently, we will accept a letter of recommendation from one of the following sources:

• a mentor
• a supervisor from a job or volunteer opportunity
• a community leader
• anyone who can comment on your potential to succeed at Clark

If you are currently in your first full-time semester of college, you must submit a Mid-Term Report Form from your current college or university. For all other applicants, the mid-term report is optional but may be beneficial if your grades in current classes are showing significant improvement.

A final high school transcript showing marks for each grade is required. GED, HiSET, or other high school equivalency credentials are accepted in place of a final high school transcript. Enrolling students must submit official transcripts before starting.

College transcripts are required from all institutions you have attended. Enrolling students must submit official transcripts before beginning their studies.

A College Report Form should be completed by the registrar, dean of students, or another college official with access to the student’s records. We require only one report per student, from the most recent college attended.

We are test-optional, so test scores are not required. If you chose to submit your standardized test scores, please use the codes below.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required for all U.S. citizens or permanent residents seeking federal financial aid.

The CSS Profile is an online application used to determine eligibility for institutional need-based aid. It is required for all domestic and international applicants seeking need-based aid.

Proof of English proficiency is required if English is not your native language.

A foreign credit evaluation is required if you are attending a college or university outside the United States.

If you have taken national examinations such as A levels, GCSE, WASSCE, CBSE, ISCE, CXC, or CAPE, you are welcome to submit your test results, though it is not required.

Keep an eye out for our email with instructions on how to log in to the applicant status page. You can use the applicant status page to check your application status, review any missing materials, and receive updates.

If additional information is needed to complete your admission application, the Office of Admissions may reach out to you. If your application remains incomplete, it will be withdrawn only after we have made an effort to notify you by email about the missing materials. It is your responsibility to ensure that your application is complete.

Transfer applications received at the Undergraduate Admissions Office are only considered for full-time enrollment, which is typically four courses (4 Clark Units) per semester. If you want to apply for part-time or night classes, contact Clark’s School of Professional Studies.

You may apply as a transfer applicant, but no financial aid is awarded to students pursuing a second bachelor’s degree.

International applicants applying for transfer admission from colleges and universities outside the United States must submit their academic records to a foreign credential evaluation service. This service provides information to assist in determining an applicant’s GPA relative to the American grading system, the transfer eligibility of university-level coursework, and the determination of class standing. When ordering a foreign credential evaluation, it must have a course-by-course analysis and show that the college or university is accredited in U.S. terms. Securing the evaluation and costs associated are your responsibility. An application without this evaluation will not be considered for admission. 

Yes! Clark students are required to live on campus up to the end of their sophomore year, and this is applicable to transfer students. Your transfer credit will determine your class standing. 

Your overall academic record is considered by Clark’s Admissions Committee, and improvements in academic performance from high school to college are taken into consideration. An upward trajectory in academic performance often indicates you learned the skills necessary to succeed at Clark. However, students who earned a GPA of less than 2.5 in high school must complete at least one full year of college courses (equivalent to 8 Clark Units) before being considered for admission.
